To Friends & Family of Pete Cadwell: I am pledging to personally match 10% of my fundraising (up to $650.00) to the educational fund set up for Ethan & Hayden Cadwell
I look forward to hearing how others have responded to Mary Beth's call to action - collectively, maybe we stand a chance of filling one of Pete's very generous, thoughtful, and kind shoes. A life well lived, my friend, a life very well lived.

"Find a time today to hold your families close and tell them how much you love them and are thankful for them. Then think of 10 things you are grateful for in your life and one thing you have been meaning to do but haven't and set it up to get it done. This is how we can all connect and help to celebrate Peter's life on the day he lost his."
And so it was ... equally inspired by the way Pete lived his life, was I moved by Mary Beth's courage and call to action. I had been thinking about ideas for creating objects in glass and had just been stuck for quite some time. In the early Sunday morning hours following Pete's East Coast Memorial Service (where I learned about his fundraising for Haiti), I knew it was time I stepped up and did something similar. By 7 a.m., I had my essay completed about why I wanted to represent Team Hoyt at this year's Boston Marathon. Two days later, I received word that I was accepted on the team. All I had to do next was think of how I was going to reach my fundraising goal and that was just the push I needed explore my creative ideas that I had been putting off.
